Even though the ocean covers 70% of earth surface, there are only few places suitable to draw deep ocean water because the geographical restriction such as deep continental slope nearby, stable deep current under sea surface and unpolluted environment. It happens to be only Taiwan, Japan, Hawaii and Korea have this kind of topography.
Taiwan lay on at eastern Asia arc between Eurasian Plate and Philippine Plate, around the arc is an oceanic trench at depth over thousands meters. 3 miles away from the coast and the depth as deep as 2,200 feet, Taiwan has the best topography to draw deep ocean water.

To obtain 100% deep ocean water, Taiwan Yes used professional technology from Japan Maeda Construction to set up drawing pipe and related facilities. This project spent millions of dollars in 2 years to settle 16,203 feet drawing pipe from coast to 2,200 feet under the Pacific Ocean. Maximum daily drawing capacity 2,000 tons, is the largest deep ocean water project in Asia.
